The West Virginia Jumpstart Savings Program was created by West Virginia State Treasurer Riley Moore and passed into state law during the 2021 Regular Legislative Session. Jumpstart will allow individuals and families to take advantage of state tax benefits and save money for future expenses associated with startup business costs for trade or vocational businesses.
Jumpstart savings may be used for:
- Certifications and licensing fees
- Tools, equipment, or supplies
- Business startup costs
Jumpstart is expected to launch in July 2022. Check back here soon for more updates on the program!
